Love our Neighbors, as Christ Commanded...
At First Baptist, you will find a church that is seeking to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. We truly are looking to love our neighbors as ourselves, as Christ has commanded! (Mark 12:30-31)
First Baptist is a loving congregation that is committed to Biblical worship and teaching of the Word. If it isn't in the Word of God, we don't teach it! Worship is a great blend of hymns and contemporary worship that goes along with the message; all helping to lead us before the throne each Sunday!

You will find a congregation that is inviting and warm, and will greet you when you arrive! We have ministries for the entire family - Nursery, Kids, Youth, Adults and Senior Adults! There is something for everyone!
We are committed to taking the Word outside the walls, into the community that God has planted us, here in Boonville, and beyond. It's all part of the Vision of First Baptist. To Be the Church, to Become Disciples, and to Build the Kingdom!
We hope you will join us in what God is doing! It's exciting!

No matter who you are or where you come from, no matter how introverted you find yourself or busy you may be, a Gospel community is non-optional in our discipleship to Jesus. While our culture continues to push the idea that a lone ranger is strong, being alone or trying to do life without others is strongly ill advised in the Bible. The book of Ephesians is clear that Christ shed his blood and died so that sinners could be reconciled to God and to each other. That means that redemption is a communal idea!
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some… - Hebrews 10:24-25a

First Baptist seeks to make disciples who make disciples through intentional relationships with those around us in everyday life. If advancing the kingdom and bringing glory to God is the all-encompassing goal of the church, then discipleship is the primary way the church seeks to accomplish that goal. Discipleship is the process of making disciples!
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
- Matthew 28:19-20

At First Baptist Church we believe that the church is God’s primary mission strategy, and so the means by which Jesus is made more famous as communities of light are scattered throughout the world to dispel the darkness. We believe that as our church heralds the name of Jesus Christ within our community that lives would be changed, and our city would be transformed.
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
